Hi, I’m gayle townsend.
(she/her)
Whatever your career goals are, I’m here to help you achieve them. Maybe you found your dream job but feel unqualified to apply. Maybe you just graduated college and don’t know which career path is right for you. Or maybe you have spent decades in one career and are ready to make a pivot.
I’m an understanding and engaged career counselor who helps people navigate toward what they love to do. With 35+ years of counseling and teaching experience, my favorite part is getting to know YOU. Whether in person, over the phone, or Zoom, talking with me is like sitting down for a chat over a cup of tea. And by the time we’re done, you’ll feel empowered to go after your career goals with confidence.
Each of us takes a unique journey through life, with plenty of forks in the road.

My Values
My practice welcomes people from all walks of life and I strive to create a safe + supportive environment that centers belonging, dignity, and justice.

As a white, straight, able-bodied woman with advanced education and middle-class status, I recognize the privileges that have enabled me to achieve success in my career. I am also aware of the systemic inequalities that exist in our society and the barriers and biases that many people face when pursuing their career goals. I am continuing to educate myself around matters of privilege, racism, and equity in order to be a well-informed collaborator on your career journey.
